These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Supermail application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Supermail ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Supermail is a browser-based email client application provided as a Chrome extension. The Service integrates with your existing Gmail account via Google's OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol and provides enhanced email management, security scanning, and AI-assisted features.
The Service operates primarily on a client-side architecture, meaning your email data is processed locally within your browser environment rather than on our servers.
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
The Service requires authentication through your Google account. We do not store your Google password. Authentication is handled exclusively through Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol, which grants the Service limited, revocable access tokens to interact with your Gmail account on your behalf.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication on your Google account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.
You may revoke the Service's access to your Gmail account at any time through your Google Account settings. Upon revocation, the Service will no longer be able to access your email data.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
The Service includes automated security scanning features designed to identify potential phishing attempts, scams, and malicious content. These features include heuristic-based quick scans and AI-powered deep scans. While we employ commercially reasonable measures to detect threats, no security system is infallible. We do not guarantee that all threats will be detected or that all flagged content is malicious.
You retain the ability to override security warnings and access blocked content at your own discretion. By doing so, you acknowledge and accept the associated risks.
You may designate certain senders or domains as "trusted," which will bypass security scanning for those contacts. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your trusted contacts list.
The Service includes AI-powered features for email composition assistance, reply suggestions, threat analysis, and other functions. These features utilize Anthropic's Claude AI for processing.
AI-generated content is provided for assistance purposes only. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before sending. We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness of AI-generated suggestions.
When you use AI features, relevant portions of email content may be transmitted to Anthropic for processing by Claude AI. By using these features, you consent to such transmission. See our Privacy Policy for additional details.
The Service is offered in multiple tiers, including a free tier with limited features and premium tiers with expanded capabilities. The specific features and limitations of each tier are described on our website and may be modified from time to time.
Certain features, such as deep security scans, operate on a credit-based system. Free tier users receive a limited allocation of credits per billing period. Premium users may receive unlimited access to credit-based features as specified in their subscription plan.
If you subscribe to a paid tier, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to your selected billing cycle. All payments are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the free tier.
The Service, including its source code, design, features, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by the Company and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.
You retain ownership of your email content. We do not claim any ownership rights over emails you compose, send, or receive using the Service.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service integrates with third-party services, including Google Gmail API, Google Calendar API, and Anthropic's Claude AI. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
While we implement security features designed to protect against email-based threats, we do not guarantee that all phishing attempts, scams, or malicious content will be detected. You acknowledge that email security requires user vigilance and that the Service is one component of a comprehensive security posture.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
